This is just a friendly reminder that Dues for 2006 are now one month past due. Please take just a moment to send in the check, or better still, come out and play a round of golf and drop the check off at the Pro Shop.

THANK YOU SECTION:
Notice the new towels on the ball washer stands? Thanks to Marlin Wallace for those--and for all the towels over the past years as well!

A sincere "thank you" to those who assisted in renovating the greens this past Monday. John Bronakawski, Bob Matyska and Warren Herchenroeder assisted Matt in the job. Gary Biggs came by in time to get checked out on the aerator, so he will be ready for the fall episode. We should be putting on a fresh surface in a couple weeks.

HEADS UP SECTION
The course will be closed Wednesday, April 19th from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM for a sectional High School Golf Tournament. Gainesville has a team entered--Go Bulldogs!! Lutie has yet to field a team this year. Mark this on your calendar, also there are these tournaments in April:

Apr 24--Senior Cat & Dog Tournament.

April 29, 1 Person Scramble.

CONGRATULATIONS SECTION:
Glenna Hodges got an Eagle on #3 on April Fools Day. Believe it. Really. ‘Way to go Glenna!!

OTHER STUFF:
Watch out for "Freeloaders." Some Gainesville teenagers have learned the dates there is no league play and the time the Pro Shop Attendants leave, so they show up to play late in the evening. They claimed they did not know that one had to either be a member to play or pay greens fees. These are not to be confused with Mr. Russell’s golf team from Gainesville High School. He will always be with the team, and they are most welcome on their designated practice day.

Notes from the Committee Meeting:

Job descriptions for the Club Manager, Pro Shop Attendants and Course Superintendent were approved.

A thorough review of our Membership, Golf Course and House Rules is soon to begin. You will be kept informed of the Process as it goes along. This document has not been updated in some years. Valid processes of 14 years ago may not now be necessary or in some instances counter productive, so a review is necessary.

HELP WANTED:
If you would like to work as a Pro Shop Attendant, contact Bob Matyska at the club house.
