Misc. news
The rental carts have been traded for a set of newer carts. These newer carts are projected to need a lower level of maintenance and will provide operational savings over their life.
Thank you to John Scott for donating funds to purchase 100 bags of ice. This will allow the Club to avoid replacing the broken ice machine in 2006.
Matt Shockey wants to say thank you to all for the Christmas gift.
Warren Herchenroeder asks that you save, and bring to the club, your empty large liquid soap containers. These can be used for golfers to carry sand to repair divots.

Golf Humor
Since we have a little space left, here are a few laws of golfing for your reading pleasure.
- A good drive on the 18th hole has stopped many a golfer from giving up the game.
- A good golf partner is one who's always slightly worse than you are....that's why I get so many calls to play with friends.
- It's amazing how a golfer who never helps out around the house will replace his divots, repair his ball marks, and rake his sand traps.
- If your opponent has trouble remembering whether he shot a six or a seven, he probably shot an eight (or worse).
- You probably wouldn't look good in a green jacket anyway! A sweatshirt will do just fine.
Repair ball marks please!
Some of our players have gotten lax about fixing ball marks. Please fix your ball mark when you are on the green. Remember, a ball mark fixed immediately heals within 24 hours. A ball mark not fixed immediately takes 30 days to heal.
A good rule is to repair your own mark plus one additional un-repaired ball mark. This attention to repairs will pay dividends in better greens surface quality for your putting pleasure.
Remember to gently pry from the leading edge of the mark toward the center of the mark. Try not to tear the sod.
The new Schedule of Tournaments for 2006 can be found on the What' New page or linked from the home page.
