Board Candidates
Due to term expirations and resignations, we will need to elect 4 positions
to the Management Committee in February 2002.
We will need to fill ---
two 1 year terms
two 3 year terms.
The nominating committee is comprised of Paul Wade, Jerry Premer
and Doyne Byrd. Please let them know if you are interested or have a
candidate you want them to consider nominating.
Attention TCC Investors!
The Board is giving consideration to modifying the procedure we have
been using for election of Board Members. Following is the change being
considered:
We would conduct business as usual at the February Investor meeting.
Results of 2001 would be reported. Plans and budget for 2002 would be
proposed and voted upon. Nominations for new board members would be
accepted, but would not be voted upon at the meeting. An Election Committee
to count votes would be appointed. Then the meeting would adjourn.
Within the next few days, voting ballots would be mailed to each
investor. The ballot would contain percentage ownership (for totaling
votes), candidate names, space for write-ins, and a deadline for
return.
The Election Committee would count the votes and contact the winning
candidates. The next newsletter would announce the new Management
Committee and Officers.
There are several advantages of this approach over our current
process.
1. All investors, even those who cannot attend the Annual Investor
Meeting, would have the opportunity to vote on Board Candidates.
2. Investors would have time to make a more considered choice.
3. The voting process would be much simpler and better organized.
4. Investors would not have to wait around at the meeting while
ballots are prepared, distributed, voted, and counted.
If you have strong feelings pro or con regarding this possible change
in procedure, please let a board member know prior to the next board
meeting which is on December 11th at 6:00 PM.
Current Board Members are:
Ron Beard
Doyne Byrd
Ethel Matyska
Glen McAndless
Jerry Premer
Paul Wade
Don Gilmore is moving to Texas and submitted his resignation at
the November board meeting. The board has chosen not to fill the balance
of Don’s term which expires in February 2002.
Don, best wishes to you and Bonnie in your relocation!
Pro Shop Attendant Needed
Bob Matyska has agreed to take on the Club Manager Job for next
year, working 3 days a week at the Pro Shop counter. But, we still need
another person to work at the Pro Shop on Saturdays and couple of half
days during the week. This additional Pro Shop Attendant job would total
about 20 hours per week.
We would prefer to have a member, investor, or someone you know
personally to take this position. Please contact Ron Beard if you would
consider or know someone who might consider this job.
The Big Tree on #1 is Down
The big unhealthy tree in the valley near the cart path on #1 is
down. A team of volunteers headed by Bill Barnes, including Alan Mahon,
Don Newton, and Lynn Jones worked for several days cutting and splitting
this tree into firewood. We understand there were some sore muscles as a
result. Proceeds from sale of the wood are being donated to the Club.
Thanks guys!!!
Christmas Gift for Alan

to a Christmas gift of appreciation for our Course Superintendent Alan Mahon.
