September 2001 Newsletter
How are we doing on Membership?
At the end of last year our membership totaled 134. Several of these members
joined after last year’s Member/Guest Day. As of today, our membership stands as 129.
As with many organizations, we need to keep growing in membership in order to
continue to make the improvements to the course which we all desire. Please help by
attending the following event.
Member/Guest Day?
Sunday October 7th
This is a new member recruiting and member appreciation day combined. There
is no entry fee. The golfing, prizes, food and drink are all on the house. (Sorry, we
cannot provide the rental carts at no charge). Please invite guests whom you feel are
possible future members of our Club. Sign-up by Friday October 5th, so that we will be
able to plan accurately for the food.
Please start to think about whom you know to invite. Surely we all can think of at
least one person who could be a potential member.
If you want to invite someone who has never golfed, that is fine. For this event
free to share your clubs with your guest. If you want to invite more than one guest, please
alert the pro shop and we will do our best to find a member to host that guest for the
day.
Schedule
1:00 to 1:45 PM Registration and warm up. This is an opportunity to show your guest
around.
1:55 PM Announce Parings and Special Events
2:00 PM 9 Holes of golfing fun
4:30 PM (approximately)
- Announce winners and award prizes
- special membership deal offered to any guest ready to join
- food and drinks on the house
Aerobics Exercise Group?
The exercise group is just getting organized. They will begin by meeting on
Thursdays at 4:00 PM. Please feel free to show up and participate.

Congratulations to Lynn Jones who on Saturday August 25th shot a hole in one on

willing to help by cooking the chili, please contact Jerry Martin.
Cart Path Project Update
Construction of the new cart paths was put on hold in June awaiting the return of cooler
weather. Approximately 50% of the cart paths are completed at this time. The highest
priority paths have been done first. Several unforeseen maintenance expenses this year
have impacted available funds, but we will continue on with this project as funds permit.
